Apply for Spring 2011 Grants

The 2011 charitable grant application form may be requested from the Kenosha Rotary Foundation in March, according to 2010-11 Foundation president Rolly Peckus.

Peckus, who will also be 2010-11 president of the Kenosha Rotary club, which meets at Kemper Center, said applications for grants may be requested only via the U.S. Postal Service by writing to Kenosha Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 577, Kenosha WI 53141-0577 in late February or March and requesting the 2011 grant application form and guidelines.

President-elect Peckus added that with completion of the 58th annual WLIP-Rotary Radio Auction in February 2011 and with funds from the previous June’s annual Rotary Bristol Oaks Golf Outing, the Kenosha Rotary Foundation will distribute approximately $40,000 to Kenosha County not-for-profit organizations.

The grant application must be requested and received fully completed by close of business on April 15, 2011. Applications may be requested and returned only through the U. S. Postal Service. Please do not request further information from club members, who are advised in the interest of fairness not to comment beyond the official written materials released to all applicants.

Rotary Foundation guidelines provide that the maximum single grant award in a cycle shall be no more than one-third of the funds available for distribution. The maximum award is expected to be $12,000. Applicants may not request funds for salaries or benefits. Projects must be of service to residents in the greater Kenosha area.
